Ph.D. Candidate in Journalism and Media, UT Austin.
Exploring identity, representation, politics, and public health in digital media.
Hello, and welcome to my website!
I am a media researcher and a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Texas at Austin. I hold an M.S. in Digital Analytics from the College of Computing and a B.A. in Sociology, both from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
My research explores how digital media tell stories about identity, amplify politics, and shape conversations about health. I combine computational methods with qualitative analysis to understand how words, images, and sounds circulate in the digital public sphere.
This website is a place to share what I’m learning as I study digital media’s impact on identity, representation, politics, and public health. Details about my background, including my CV, are available in the About tab. My research projects are outlined in the Research tab, and information on my teaching experience is provided in the Teaching tab.
